This paper discusses the optimal switching mode for heating operation of photovoltaic/thermal combined dual-source heat pump (PV/T-DSHP) systems. A simulation model is established using TRNSYS software, and the coefficient of performance (COPs) of the dual-source (water source and air source) heat pump system is calculated. The COPs-based switching mode is proposed, in which the operation of the air-source heat pump mode or water-source heat pump mode is determined by higher COPsat a certain time. The correctness of the simulation results is verified by the preliminary experimental results, and a comparison experiment is carried out with the conventional switching mode based on the water temperature of the heat collection tank, and the effectiveness of the COPs-based switching mode is verified. The results show that compared with the switching mode based on the water temperature of the heat collection tank, the power generation and power generation efficiency of the system under the COPs-based optimal switching mode are increased by 5.35% and 1.73%, respectively, the power consumption is reduced by 17.03%, and the COPsis increased by 4.91%.
